Everyone’s Job Description at Boathouse begins with one key role, SALES ASSOCIATE.  Keep that in mind when reading through the details of your specialized job description.  Your core job description is that of a Sales Associate.  The following specialized description is in addition to that core role.

• Act as the Team Leader in the Store Manager’s/Assistant Manager’s absence
• Lead by example
• Open and Close the store
• Partake in developing the sales team to take on roles of higher responsibility
• Address poor performance and recommend corrective action to the manager when necessary.
• Provide positive feedback and recognition to associates for a job well done
• Under direction of the Store Manager, keep records of associate sales performance
• Achieve all company benchmarks: Sales $, UPT, Average Sale, Fragrance %, Promo % (list updated regularly) Personal and Store
• Control Loss within the store and contribute to the achievement of company objective of Loss below 1% of total store sales
• Comply with all Boathouse Policies and Procedures
• Maintain open communication with the Store Manager
• Keep team and self focused on what is important and communicate clear objectives
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized store.  This includes paperwork. 
• Come to work fully dressed in current season Boathouse attire from head to toe.  Choose attire that will ensure that you stand out professionally as a Key Holder
• Keep all working relationships professional

Qualifications: 

• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
• Proven Sales results
• Demonstrated high level of integrity
• Organized
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel
• Positive attitude, ambitious and self motivated
• Internal Candidates: 3 months as a Cashier
• Excel at both the Cashier and Sales associate specialized job roles
• Completion of Orientation Phases 1,2 & 3

Scheduling and Availability:

• All team members are required to be available during Boathouse Black Out periods which may include some or all Canadian Statutory holidays, Civic holidays and March Break.  Refer to your P&P manual
• Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, 4 shifts per week
• Must have open availability on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• The occasional overnight shift is required
• One 2 day weekend off per month (Saturday/Sunday)
• Key holders, upon approval from their Store Manager, may only switch shifts with other Key holders

Full Time Key Holder Qualifications:

• Associate excels within a minimum of 4 roles within the store (sales associate, cashier, stock, visual, footwear)
• Proven ability and desire to lead, train and develop other team members
• Ambition to move further within the company along with the skill set to do so
• Open availability 6am to 6pm Sunday to Saturday
